Recreation
The Buffalo Grove community offers many activities for its residents. Approximately 400 acres are devoted to 45 park sites that provide playgrounds, athletic fields, lakes, tennis courts, bike paths, and picnic areas. There are two public golf courses, totaling over 240 acres, owned and operated by the village. Additionally, there are indoor and outdoor swimming facilities, and many other recreational activities and courses offered through its park district.
Schools
Cook County Elementary School District #21 in addition to the 3 Lake County school districts: Countryside District #96; Aptakisic-Tripp District #102; or Lincolnshire-Prairie View District #103. A parochial school is located in the community. High school students in the Lake County portion of the village attend Adlai E. Stevenson High School, while Cook County students attend Buffalo Grove High School.
